Welcome to Oddbins Wine Auctions one of the most respected and high profile auction houses in Australia. Oddbins has become an Adelaide institution and take pride in its 25th Anniversary year of being Australia’s original and oldest wine auction house. We believe that our long-established and respected auction services offer everyone the opportunity to appreciate all that is good in wine. In the beginning our auctions attracted a small audience of dedicated fine wine lovers keen to pick up a smorgasbord of Australian, rare and imported wines. However, since this nation of ours has matured, so too has its palate and its thirst for fine wines and our loyal subscriber base now extends throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Oddbins Wine Auctions purposely and proudly remains a commission auction house only – unlike other auction houses it does not deal in wine. Our role is to achieve the best possible market result between vendor and purchaser. We view wine as an entity, rather than just a trading commodity, which is an enduring cornerstone of Oddbins success, reputation and longevity. Whilst it is our role to assist in the business of the auction process, we retain our passion for wine which is maintained by tastings, reading and media issues. Oddbins has been involved with such prestige events as the Barossa Valley Vintage Festival, the McLaren Vale Bushing Festival, Coonawarra Barrel auction, and Tasting Australia. |
