From one of the greatest vineyards and greatest producers in Burgundy.
2002 has been a favorite vintage for those who love burgundy. Not weighty, but pure and precise and are drinking beautifully right now. This has been aged perfectly and is ready to enjoy.
Charles Rousseau, who passed away at 93 in 2016, purchased his first parcel of Clos de Bèze in late 1961 and the family acquired more plots in 1989 and 1992; this last purchase almost doubling their holding.
This is an Oddbins consignment special wine. Special wine offered to Oddbins to sell on behalf of our vendors.
Oddbins consignments are used for some of the most exceptional wines where the prominence is known and all the key markings of the wine show the wine in exceptional quality. However, as there is with auction there is still an element of risk when buying from consignment. The sellers premiums have been absorbed into the price for this product.
